This 5* boutique style hotel features destination venue restaurants “Curry Tavern” and “Bistro”, meeting and conference facilities, with a design approach reflecting a new style of “home from home”.
This project is part of a group of 16 chosen to participate in a two-year pilot of “CaGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Standard” which will help to further refine the standard, plus accompanying resources and education.
Our concept was to create a tapestry of geometrically inspired towers linking marina and beach environments.
Building some of these structures on the water, both in the form of bungalows and mid-rises, provide exclusivity to the units.

The sequences of the functions of a hotel are carefully followed, with a clear separation between the “Front of the House” and “Back of the House” Areas.
With the city of Toronto continuing to grow in population, the city will grow vertically, meaning the need for this type of education/community facility will be vital.
