Engila Master Plan

Located on the outskirts of Tripoli, this master plan establishes a 25 year development framework that will provide a comprehensive guide
to urban growth in Engila.

Located on the outskirts of Tripoli, this master plan establishes a 25 year development framework that will provide a comprehensive guide to urban growth in Engila. All future urban development, buildings, spaces, movement, land use, and infrastructure were considered in the preparation of this plan. Based on a nodal form of planning, a connected series of nodes and boulevards serve as the organizing principles and create order and hierarchy among the various elements of the plan. They also serve as a focus for the development of the main functions and program use that drives the principles of the plan. A central landscaped green belt, which cuts across the site, is preserved and incorporated into the overall scheme. The final plan as approved by the municipality integrates the key elements of local culture, geography, society, and economy together with the end goal of creating a vibrant urban city centre for the future.
