The creation of a new Canadian headquarters for this multi-national, business supplies retailing giant has consolidated main operations
for the 500 staff of Staples/Business Depot. The office building is prominently located in a prestige business park and demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of architecture in the suburban context. A five storey, T-shaped plan was developed based on extensive user program interviews and consultation conducted by our team.

The resultant design minimizes the depth of each floor plate providing abundant natural light throughout the building resulting in quality office space. A central lobby bisects the ground floor providing entranceand access at either end. Capping the building are common employee spaces such as the multi-purpose rooms, cafeteria and roof-top terrace, afforded with superb views of the surrounding landscape, and the flight path leading to Buttonville Airport.
