ZAS was tasked by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) to design a campus master plan that embodies RIT’s vision as a global institution.

ZAS has been tasked by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) to design a campus master plan that embodies RIT’s vision as a global institution, and to adapt it to local climate and cultural conditions of the middle east.

In addition to its main campus in Rochester, New York, RIT has expanded internationally with global campus locations in Croatia; Kosovo; Dominican Republic; and China. The Dubai campus, launched in 2008, remains one of RIT’s most ambitious international projects to date. Conveniently located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, RIT Dubai currently offers bachelor and master’s degree programs in the fields of engineering, computing, business and leadership.

The new campus in Dubai will contribute to RIT’s vision of becoming a global university whose academic portfolio, research agenda, and educational model align with the shifting needs of today’s students. In the development of this master plan ZAS has utilized an interactive process with all Program Stakeholders to provide a synthesized vision for a comprehensive development and business mode approach to furnish the overall facilities program requirements. ZAS has developed a plan that react to existing and future developments within the DSO while designing a place that embodies RIT’s vision as a global institution, and to adapt it to local climate and cultural conditions
